New Evening Program Set to Begin February 19, 2025, Meeting Community Demand for Skilled Technicians

Helms College is thrilled to announce the expansion of its educational offerings with the launch of a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program at its Augusta campus, following approval from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). This milestone builds on the resounding success of the HVAC/R program at Helms College’s Macon campus, aiming to meet the growing demand for skilled technicians in the Augusta area and beyond.

Set to begin February 19, 2025, the new program features evening classes from Monday to Thursday, 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, tailored to accommodate working adults and non-traditional students. Participants will gain practical, hands-on training in HVAC/R systems, equipping them with the technical expertise needed to thrive in a rapidly growing field.

The introduction of this program underscores Helms College’s unwavering commitment to community and workforce development. With HVAC/R technician demand on the rise due to expanding residential and commercial needs, the program positions graduates for rewarding careers while bolstering local economic growth.
