Helms College is housed on two modern, convenient campuses: one located in Macon, Georgia and the other in Augusta, Georgia.
Both the Macon and Augusta campuses are convenient to interstate access, fully handicapped accessible and parking is available free of charge, with ample, privately operated apartment housing available for rent nearby.
The Macon Campus is located at 5171 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, GA 31206. Located near Interstate 475, the college is part of a campus operated by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA and includes offices for administrative and career services. It is also home to the Polly Long Denton School of Hospitality, which contains multimedia equipped classrooms; culinary labs; a computer lab; a small, centralized library; a fully-equipped, professional kitchen; and Edgar’s Bistro restaurant, which provides a venue for experiential learning, front- and back-of-the-house training, and fine dining. Adjacent to the school is the Anderson Conference Center and Hire Grounds Café. Along with the restaurant, these facilities operate as part of Edgar’s Hospitality Group and provide additional opportunities for students to receive hands-on training toward a diploma or associate degree in culinary arts.
The Augusta Campus is located at 3145 Washington Road, August, GA 30907. Located near Interstate 20, and similar to its Macon counterpart, the college is part of a campus operated by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. The Helms College Augusta Campus has two schools: the School of Hospitality, and the School of Health Services.
The School of Hospitality houses three well-equipped culinary labs, multi-media equipped lecture classrooms, and academic development classrooms furnished with computers and learning resources. Adjacent to the school is Edgar’s Grille, Hire Grounds Café, and the Snelling Conference Center. Each of these venues provide students with opportunities for experiential learning, front- and back-of-house training, fine dining, and catering services, for both diploma and associate degree studies within the culinary arts field.
The School of Health Services contains classrooms, a computer laboratory, and well-equipped clinics for the study of a variety of health services certificate programs. The Augusta Campus also houses a Goodwill Job Connection, a facility provided for the public and funded as part of Goodwill’s mission to provide employment and career services to individuals from the community and to Helms College students. It is one of seven Job Connection sites located throughout the regions served by the Macon and Augusta campuses.
